The Villanova Wildcats won the national championship earlier this year and they are certainly looking to ride that momentum into the 2016-17 season. If they go out and have another big year, they will have another talented player joining their team next summer in four-star small forward Jermaine Samuels.
Samuels was being recruited by some big-name teams across the country, but he took to Twitter on Sunday and announced his commitment to Villanova. He chose Jay Wright’s club over Duke, Kansas and Indiana.
I want to thank God, my family & Coach Todd of X for helping me get to where I'm at now. I'm officially a Wildcat🔵⚪️ pic.twitter.com/ddsxSfxUZS

If the Wildcats are going to continue to land big recruits like Samuels, there is no reason why this team won’t be a national power into the future. He joins Dhamir Cosby-Roundree as the team’s four-star commits for next season.
