The Texas Tech Red Raiders have added a big piece to their coaching staff going into the 2016 season. Former offensive lineman Manny Ramirez will be a part of their staff this year and it should be a great addition for the team.
Head coach Kliff Kingsbury announced that Ramirez would join the staff as the Director of Player Development. He will bring his veteran experience back to Lubbock and help push them into the future.

Ramirez played four seasons with the Red Raiders, starting 46 games and being named to the All-Big 12 Second Team in 2005. He went on to play nine years in the NFL with the Detroit Lions and Denver Broncos before retiring after the 2015 season.
The Red Raiders kickoff the 2016 season on Sept. 3 against the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks.
