LEGO does some pretty cool things when it comes to the sports world. Last week, we shared a video of one person recreating the Nebraska-BYU Hail Mary in the fun building toy, but they have now outdone themselves.
Ahead of the Boston Red Sox’s game against AL East opponent Tampa Bay Rays, LEGO unveiled an amazing statue of “Big Papi” David Ortiz, who is in his final season in the MLB. He has received some pretty cool gifts on his retirement tour, but it will be tough to top this one.
This is pretty awesome and I am sure Ortiz will want to put that up in his room somewhere. LEGO also created an awesome portrait of him and his son, D’Angelo, which he can hang up in his man cave.
Yeah, I think LEGO wins the Ortiz retirement tour.
