Mississippi State court features ‘StarkVegas’ nickname

Over the last few years, the Mississippi State Bulldogs have taken what should be an insult and turned it into something special. “StarkVegas” is the nickname for Starkville, home city of the Bulldogs, and it was originally given to them by rival schools for how different the city was from Las Vegas since there isn’t much to do in the city outside of attending sporting events.

However, they have embraced the name and it will even make an appearance on the team’s new basketball court design. They revealed the new court on Thursday afternoon and it is pretty awesome.

The Bulldogs haven’t made the NCAA Tournament since 2009 and they hope to turn their recent luck around this year. They open the 2016-17 season on Nov. 11 against Norfolk State.
