Ever since the Georgia Southern Eagles moved up the FBS in 2014, they have been introducing all kinds of changes to tradition in Statesboro. It looks like they will introduce one for the season opener.
On Thursday, the Eagles released a video teasing new uniforms to be revealed for Saturday’s season opener against Savannah State. The new look is called “Gold Rush” and it could be a big change for the Eagles this year.

It certainly looks like the players, who got the first look at the uniforms this week, are excited for the new look. You can only think that the jersey and pants, which were not revealed, will have some kind of gold theme to match the gold numbers on the helmet.
The Eagles and Tigers face off at 6 p.m. EST on ESPN3.
