Thursday night marked the first real night of college football and the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers were excited to hit the field against the Rice Owls. However, it seemed they were a little too excited and ended up embarrassing themselves coming out of the tunnel.
One player tripped running out and it started a Tour de France type collision as others just kept falling over onto the pile. Thankfully, no one got hurt during the pileup.

However, I don’t think the Hilltoppers let the embarrassment get to them too much. The quickly opened a 30-7 halftime lead over the Owls and lead 46-14 in the fourth quarter of that game.
Blowing out your opponent is certainly the best way to make fans forget that you had a pretty embarrassing moment to start the season.
