Mississippi State misses last second field goal, upset by South Alabama

The Mississippi State Bulldogs got their 2016 campaign of to a rocky start on Saturday, while the South Alabama Jaguars are celebrating a monumental win for the program.

With six seconds remaining in the game, Mississippi State kicker Westin Graves lined up for the game-winning field goal.

Unfortunately for the Bulldogs and their fans, the 28-yard attempt clanked off the uprights, leaving Mississippi State feeling heartache and the Jaguars celebrating an upset victory.

South Alabama returns to action next weekend against conference foe Georgia Southern, while the Bulldogs will try to rebound against South Carolina.
