On the first defensive drive of the game for the Ole Miss Rebels, one of their better defensive backs went down with a nasty-looking injury. Ken Webster had to be carted off the field after what appeared to be a knee injury.
Webster went up with Florida State wide receiver Kermit Whitfield to defend a deep pass from Deondre Francois. It sailed incomplete, but when Webster went down, he appeared to hyperextend his knee.

He was carted off the fields and he was understandably upset and in a great deal of pain.

The team had to turn to Tony Bridges to replace Webster. He stepped up and made a big play on a third down on the ensuing defensive drive for the Rebels.
