Western Kentucky basketball lands Pancake Thomas

The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers are looking to make a big run at the Conference USA championship on the basketball court this year and they seem to have a ton of talent going forward. Sunday night, they received another graduate transfer in the form of Hartford’s Pancake Thomas.

Thomas took to Twitter and announced his intentions to transfer to play for the Hilltoppers this year. He will be immediately eligible to play after graduating from Hartford and he becomes the third player to head to Western Kentucky this year.

Thomas averaged 18.9 points for the Hawks last season, shooting 42.6 percent from three-point range. He joins former Providence guard Junior Lomomba and former Washington State guard Que Johnson as players eligible to play immediately for Rick Stansbury this year.

This team has not made the NCAA Tournament since 2013, but it certainly seems they are in a good position to make some noise going into the 2016-17 season.
