Florida WRs Tyrie Cleveland, Rick Wells have charges reduced

The Florida Gators were without wide receivers Tyrie Cleveland and Rick Wells for the season opener after they were suspended following their arrest for firing BB guns inside a dorm hall. Luckily, they have had their charges reduced to misdemeanors.

It was reported by State Attorney Bill Cervone that the pair of receivers have had their charges reduced from third-degree felonies to first-degree misdemeanors. Each player caused less than $1,000 in damages, down from the felony charge of more than $1,000 in damages.

Luckily for them, the players will not be hit with any kind of legal punishment. They hope to return to the field very soon and start making an impact for the Gators going forward.

Florida faces off against SEC East opponent Kentucky Wildcats this weekend.
