Houtson quarterback Greg Ward had a great showing against the Oklahoma Sooners last week, but it seems he may have injured his shoulder in the upset win. Now, the Cougars could be without the quarterback going into their weekend game against FCS opponent Lamar.
It was reported by The Houston Chronicle’s Joseph Duarte that the team is unsure of if Ward will be available for Saturday’s game. He underwent an MRI earlier this week after feeling some pain following the game against Oklahoma.
Houston QB Greg Ward didn't practice Tuesday. Coach Tom Herman says he got shot in shoulder but there's a chance he might not play vs. Lamar

This might just be a precaution for Houston as the MRI showed no real damage to his shoulder. They don’t want to risk him getting seriously injured in a game that they should win by a large margin, with or without Ward.
In last week’s upset, Ward threw for 321 yards and two touchdowns.
