The Michigan State Spartans’ 2018 recruiting class has just gotten a little stronger after four-star athlete Xavier Henderson announced his commitment to the team on Friday. It looks like he is going to end up being a big part of their defense in the next few years.
Henderson held an offer from nearly every school in the Big Ten, but he decided to shun the homestate Ohio State Buckeyes and head north to East Lansing. He announced that on Friday.
Very excited to announce my commitment as a student athlete to Michigan State University! #GoGreen pic.twitter.com/Yx9eIjmJrU

Henderson is the No. 7 player in Ohio and the No. 11 athlete in the 2018 class. He is the first commit for the Spartans in the 2018 class and it is a big one.
Head coach Mark Dantonio is coming off his best recruiting class since 2007 after the team was ranked No. 17 in the country. It certainly looks like his next two classes are off to a hot start.
