The Notre Dame Fighting Irish’s secondary might have taken a big hit on Saturday when cornerback Shaun Crawford suffered an injury during their game against Nevada. It is believed that he suffered a torn Achilles tendon.
If this is true for Crawford, he will likely miss the rest of the season for the Irish. It is the second time he has suffered a season-ending injury after he tore his ACL ahead of the 2015 season in summer camp.
More from @KathrynTappen on Shaun Crawford: He is out with a torn left achilles.
Crawford was out last season with a torn right ACL.

Crawford was expected to be big piece of the Fighting Irish’s defense this year and played a big role in the early part of the 2016 season. The redshirt freshman will likely be able to get a fifth and possibly sixth year of eligibility with the NCAA.
