Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson has had one heck of a start to the 2016 season.
Last Thursday, he set the school record for most touchdowns in a game and this week, he went for over 300 yards and four touchdowns in the first quarter against Syracuse.
Because of his monster effort against their ACC foe, which saw him go for over 600 total yards and six touchdowns, Jackson has been named the Walter Camp Offensive Player of the Week for the second week in a row.
His record-breaking performance against the Orange will certainly set the tone for the rest of the season.
It is unlikely that Jackson will do what he has done in the first two weeks next Saturday against Florida State, but he will certainly make a big impact for the Cardinals. That game will be in front of a huge crowd and will enjoy the company of ESPN’s College GameDay.
