Notre Dame WR Torii Hunter Jr. cleared for practice

Last Sunday, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish lost a big piece of their offense as wide receiver Torii Hunter Jr. went down with a concussion after a nasty hit on a would-be touchdown. After missing the team’s win over Nevada on Saturday, he will be back on the field after passing concussion protocol.

JJ Stankevitz of CSN Chicago reported that head coach Brian Kelly said Hunter would be back in practice on Tuesday.

It looks like he will be a full-go for their match-up against Michigan State on Saturday.

Last year, Hunter caught 28 passes for 363 yards and two touchdowns. He had 37 yards and a touchdown against the Longhorns. He should end up playing a big role for the Irish against the Spartans next weekend.
