West Virginia Mountaineers quarterback Skyler Howard has picked up a national honor for his standout performance in Week 2 of the 2016 college football season.
On Tuesday, it was announced that Howard has been named The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award National Player of the Week.
Howard earned the honor after leading the Mountaineers to a 38-21 victory over Youngstown State. In that victory, the senior signal-caller from Fort Worth, Texas threw for a whopping 389 yards while adding a career-high five touchdown passes.

Howard becomes the second quarterback this season to win The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award National Player of the Week, joining Week 1 winner Greg Ward Jr. of Houston.
