Team USA told Kevin Durant to stop wearing gold medal so much

Kevin Durant was a part of Team USA winning their third straight gold medal and he was pretty excited about making history in Rio this summer. He has been showing off his gold medal and it has gotten so bad that Team USA has asked him to stop wearing it so much.

Durant’s new Golden State Warriors teammate appeared on “Conan” Tuesday night and he claimed that his Team USA teammates had to tell the former NBA MVP and tell him to stop wearing his gold medal so much.

This comes after he wore his medal while being honored ahead of the Washington Redskins’ game on Monday.

His teammates were talking in a group chat and apparently told him to calm down with showing off so much.

“KD had his on at the Monday Night Football Game and we still have our group chat on and we talked about him like ‘dude, give it a break. Put it up somewhere. What are you doing? Everyone knows you have one, give it a break.”

This is a pretty hilarious story, but you can’t blame him for being so excited about winning his first gold medal. I would probably do exactly what he did, so I am right there with you, KD.
