Wyoming suspends D.J. May for violation of team rules

The Wyoming football program has once again suspended senior linebacker D.J. May.

This week, the program announced that May will be suspended for the team’s Week 3 match up against the UC Davis Aggies at home for a violation of team rules, according to Brandon Foster of The Casper Star Tribune.

The school had no further comment.

Without May on the field, the Cowboys will turn to jnior linebacker Tim Kamana to fill in at strong-side linebacker.

The report also indicates either redshirt freshman receiver Austin Conway or junior cornerback Rico Gafford will replace May on the Wyoming kickoff return unit.

This marks the third time that May has been suspended for the dreaded “violation of team rules.”

May has received one-game suspensions in each of the last three seasons.

Wyoming returns to the field without May this weekend with kick off at Jonah Field at War Memorial Stadium set for 4 p.m. ET.
