Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown is one of the best players in the NFL today. But, did you know that he didn’t even play the position while in high school at Miami Norland in Miami, Florida?
Brown played quarterback during his days with the team in South Beach, but he showed off why he was more than just a passer behind the line of scrimmage. This highlight video, posted to YouTube in May of last year, gives fans a look into Brown’s early days that proved he was going to be a star in the NFL someday.
From returning punts to throwing dimes, Brown was showing that he could do it all even at 17 years old. This set of skills is probably why he ended up being a superstar at Central Michigan, where he ended his career with over 3,100 receiving yards and 22 touchdowns in three seasons.
In the NFL, Brown has amassed over 7,200 yards and 40 touchdowns. He led the NFL in yards in 2014 and has twice led the league in receptions.
I think there is a reason why Brown was one of the first players taken in many fantasy drafts this season.
