Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson is having one heck of a year on the football field and today against Florida State, he proved his first two games weren’t flukes. He led the Cardinals to a 63-20 win over the Seminoles and now he is getting some pretty good praise from a former quarterback that dominated during his career.
Former Virginia Tech and Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick took to Twitter and praised the quarterback. He said that Jackson was “five times” better than he was during his career with the Hokies.
Lamar Jackson 5x better than what I was at V-Tech….Enough said!! #future

That is some high praise coming from a guy that most recently took Virginia Tech to the national championship game. During his career with the Hokies, Vick threw for 3,299 yards and 21 touchdowns while rushing for almost 1,300 yards and 17 scores in just two seasons.
In just three games this year, Jackson has almost has the same amount of total touchdowns as Vick had in two seasons at Virginia Tech. This year, he has 913 yards and eight touchdowns through the air and 464 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground.
Jackson is not only the odds-on favorite for the Heisman Trophy this year, but he has the Cardinals looking like a serious contender for the College Football Playoff.
If he continues to do what he has done this year, there is no reason why he won’t be sitting in New York with his arms around the trophy.
