Video: Mark Walton breaks 80-yard TD on first carry

Miami running back Mark Walton has already had a terrific season for the Hurricanes and he needed to be perfect for them against the Appalachian State Mountaineers. He had a terrific start to the game as he busted open a big run for a touchdown.

Walton got the handoff up the middle and played power football by running over Mountaineer linebacker A.J. Howard. He the broke out and raced 80 yards for the touchdown on the first offensive play of the game for the Hurricanes.

That was Walton’s sixth rushing touchdown on the season, just three less than he had for the entire 2015 season. It certainly looks like the Hurricanes have gotten off to a big start in a game that many believe could be an upset for the Mountaineers.

Appalachian State is currently trailing 7-0, but is driving into Miami territory looking to tie the game.
