The Michigan State football team was able to secure a big win over Notre Dame on Saturday night in one of the ranked vs. ranked match ups on a loaded Week 3 schedule.
After jumping out to a 36-7 lead, the Spartans were able to hold off the Fighting Irish.
Following the big win for Michigan State, the Spartans players went over to join their fans to sing the school’s fight song, “Victory for MSU,” as they enjoyed advancing to 2-0 on the season.

The big win over Notre Dame should certainly push the Spartans into the top ten, while the Fighting Irish will likely stumble out of the top 20 and potentially the top 25 after suffering their second loss of the season.
Michigan State returns to action next weekend at home when the Spartans open up Big Ten play by hosting the No. 9 Wisconsin Badgers in East Lansing.
