Top 5 recruit Wendell Carter Jr. drops top four list

One of the top prospects in the Class of 2017, five-star power forward Wendell Carter Jr. of Atlanta, has announced the four schools remaining in his recruitment.

Two of the schools remaining in Carter’s top four are in his home state, Georgia and Georgia Tech, while the Duke Blue Devils also make an appearance. The biggest surprise, however, is the inclusion of the Ivy League’s Harvard Crimson.

Could Harvard actually beat out Duke and the Georgia schools? It’s highly unlikely.

According to 247 Sports Crystal Ball Projection, you can go ahead and pencil Carter in for the Blue Devils.

Carter is the No. 1 player in the state of Georgia, No. 4 recruit in the nation and the No. 3 player at his position, according to 247 Sports.

Wherever he lands, the program will be receiving one of the blue chip prospects for 2017.
