Ole Miss’ Charles Wiley has domestic violence charges dismissed

According to Antonio Morales of The Clarion-Ledger, Ole Miss Rebels freshman defensive end Charles Wiley has had his domestic violence charges from an incident earlier this summer dismissed.

Wiley’s attorney, Steve Farese, passed along the news on Thursday.

“The parties mutually agreed to dismiss the charges and (to) handle this matter privately,” Farese said, according to the paper.

Wiley was initially suspended by the program, but had terms of his suspension altered so he was able to participate in fall camp. Now that the charges are dropped, Wiley can fully return to the football team and can play in games.

Coming out of high school, Wiley, a Georgia native, was a four-star recruit.

The No. 21 Rebels play host to the No. 11 Georgia Bulldogs this weekend in Oxford.
