Marshall QB Chase Litton out vs Louisville with concussion

The Marshall Thundering Herd were already coming in to today’s game against the No. 3 Louisville Cardinals as overwhelming underdogs. They will now have to contend with starting quarterback Chase Litton being out.

ESPN’s Brett McMurphy reported that Litton will miss today’s game as he is dealing with a concussion. The Herd will now likely go with true freshman Garet Morell to make the start today.

Litton has been awesome for the Thundering Herd so far this year. He has thrown for 722 yards and 10 touchdowns against just three interceptions in two games this year.

He racked up over 2,600 yards and 23 touchdowns as a freshman last year. His absence will certainly affect Marshall’s chances to take out the hottest team in the country in the Cardinals.

The Thundering Herd take the field without Litton against the Louisville Cardinals at Joan C. Edwards Stadium in Huntington, West Virginia at 8 p.m. EST. The game will air on CBS Sports Network.
