Florida State WR Pigg Harrison’s future in question

The Florida State Seminoles have a big game this weekend when they face off against the North Carolina Tar Heels in what could be an early preview of the ACC Championship Game. It looks like they will be without a part of their wide receiving corps going into the game as it seems Pigg Harrison is not going to be with the team.

Conflicting reports right now say that Harrison has either been suspended from the team or has left altogether and is intending to transfer. Head coach Jimbo Fisher released a short statement saying he had violated team rules and had been suspended from the team.

As of right now, he’s suspended,” the head coach said in quotes distributed by the team. “We’ll see what happens. Team violation.”

However, a report from TomahawkNation.com says that Harrison has left the team and is looking to transfer elsewhere to continue his playing career. The destination of his transfer is not known at this point.

Harrison has been listed as second-team receiver behind leading receiver Travis Rudolph. He was placed in front freshman receiver Keith Gavin for the job.

Harrison was a four-star member of the team’s 2014 recruiting class. Last year, he caught six passes for 129 yards and a touchdown.

The Seminoles and Tar Heels meet up on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 3:30 p.m. EDT on ESPN.
