One of the best moments of Week 5 came prior to kickoff of the Nebraska vs. Illinois football game. Prior to kickoff from Memorial Stadium, members of the Fighting Illini special teams unit approached the Cornhuskers at midfield.
After sharing some heartfelt, kind words about late Nebraska punter Sam Foltz, who tragically passed away in a car accident over the summer, Illinois long snapper Michael Martin handed a Foltz jersey over to Cornhuskers kicker Spencer Lindsay that was signed by members of the team.

They say that football is family and this was a great reminder. It’s also amazing to see Foltz continuing to be honored and remembered as the great young man he was.
