4-Star PG Markese Jacobs commits to Kansas

The Kansas basketball program is already setting up for future success. Over the weekend, four-star point guard Markese Jacobs announced he will begin his college career with the Jayhawks.

Jacobs announced his decision after visiting the program’s “Late Night at the Phog” event.

“I feel like Kansas is the school I’ve always wanted to go to,” Jacobs told Scout.com. “I feel like they go through their guards. They are a great guard team. I feel like I fit their category in their guards.”

He also released a brief statement on social media:

As a member of the Class of 2019, Jacobs has plenty of time to continue growing and fine-tuning his skills before officially joining the Jayhawks program.

Jacobs becomes the first member of Kansas’ 2019 recruiting class.
