The Ohio State football program has been pretty good this year. How good? Right now, the Buckeyes rank first in several defensive categories in the FBS as well as 3rd down conversion rate.
They have downright bullied everybody else who plays in the Big Ten.

One of the most eye popping numbers is also one of the easiest to look past (if that’s possible). The Buckeyes have only allowed two sacks the entire season. Offensive line play like that allows them to have success in other areas; namely their top ranked rushing offense and passing efficiency.
It all starts with the buffet busters up front.

Their total offense is also out gaining their allowed yardage by more than 300 yards.
Head coach Urban Meyer has found the same kind of success that he had at Florida, when he coached power-slugging Mets outfielder Tim Tebow. With already one National title at Ohio State, it’s easy to see why coach Meyer’s Buckeyes are a popular choice to win another this year.
