The Minnesota football team will be without starting quarterback Mitch Leidner when it hits the road for a game against Maryland this weekend as the Gophers continue their search for the first conference win of the season.
On Tuesday, the Gophers released their updated depth chart for this week and revealed Leidner will not make the trip.
There is no word on a specific injury or what led to Leidner taking a place on the bench.

Without Leidner, Minnesota will turn to Conor Rhoda under center.
This will be the first start of Rhoda’s career.
Kickoff between the Golden Gophers and Terrapins is set for noon ET on ESPNU.
