There’s no word yet on what the rest of the uniforms will look like when they wear these helmets. But no doubt, this will have all the players very excited.
The idea behind the reflective design? It’s an homage to UCF’s Reflection Pond, the site of an annual homecoming tradition know as Spirit Splash.
UFC is yet to repeat uniforms this season, wearing a different combinations of of their black, anthracite, and pewter colors. Typically, their away uni’s are all white and would make the most sense to wear with the reflective white helmets. It might seem strange to wear their away uniforms for their homecoming, but they coordinated their uniform selection for the season opener against South Carolina State earlier this year.
UFC has played well this season, with a tough loss to Maryland and a blowout loss (albeit an expected one) to Jim Harbaugh’s Michigan Wolverines.
