Almost coordinated dancing, Ed Sheeran, roses at the 50-yard line; a proposal that won’t soon be forgotten. This week, Samford linebacker Deion Pierre proposed to his girlfriend with the help of his teammates.

Boy. That’s just so sweet and nice and stuff. Good for those two. Personally, I found the most touching moment to be the seemingly genuine jubilation from his teammates. Upon the ring being placed on her finger, the entire team erupted with cheers and whooping and hollering.
They were jumping with joy for Pierre and his bride-to-be.
Pierre, who is nearly the same height as his fiancee when he is kneeling, proposed after Samford’s 55-21 victory over VMI this weekend. Samford moves to 5-1 on the season with a game against Mississippi State looming large in their upcoming schedule.
Win or lose, though, Pierre can be sure of one thing: there was no way his girlfriend was going to reject his elaborate proposal in front of a crowd of people that way.
Good thinking, Pierre.
