Uh oh, Duke basketball fans. There is some concerning news coming out of Blue Devils practice on Tuesday evening.
According to reports, five-star freshman Jayson Tatum reportedly went down with a foot injury at the team’s “pro day,” which featured more than 60 NBA scouts and executives in attendance.
The injury reportedly “didn’t look good,” according to ESPN’s Seth Greenberg.
60-70 @nba personnel staff members in attendance at @DukeMBB pro day. Jayson Tatum goes down with some type of foot injury. Didn't look good

Prior to the injury, NBA scouts were impressed with what they were seeing from the freshman.
NBA guys raving to me about Jayson Tatum after first pro day and through today — until injury at end. Still unclear severity of the injury.

Coming out of high school, Tatum was the No. 4 rated player in his recruiting class. If the injury is serious, it would be a devastating blow to Duke. The also comes after another highly-touted recruit, Harry Giles, underwent knee surgery earlier this year.
Duke has plenty of talent when healthy, so let’s hope they can return to 100 percent sooner rather than later.
We will update this post with further information on Tatum’s status as it becomes available.
