The Villanova basketball program celebrated its 2016 national championship on Friday night by raising the banner into the rafters at The Pavalion during “Hoops Mania.”
Shortly after raising the banner, Villanova declared the Wildcats are set to claim back-to-back titles.
“We’re going to go back-to-back,”Ryan Arcidiacono told the rowdy crowd, via the Associated Press. “I’m putting the pressure on right now.”

Villanova claimed the title with a thrilling win over the North Carolina Tar Heels.
It was the second national title in Wildcats history, the fifth Final Four appearance and third time in the championship game. Villanova kicks off its 2016-17 campaign and quest for a repeat on Nov. 11 against Lafayette at home.
