Deshaun Watson’s time in college is nearing its end.
On Tuesday, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney informed the media that the star quarterback is set to enter the 2017 NFL Draft following the season. Watson, who is expected to be one of the top players selected in the draft, will be honored by Clemson at senior day as a result.
Along with Watson, Clemson running back Wayne Gallman and wide receivers Mike Williams and Artavis Scott will be declaring.
Those players will also be honored at Senior Day.
This season, Watson has led the undefeated Tigers with 2,497 yards, 24 touchdowns and ten interceptions while completing a whopping 64 percent of his passes. Last year, Watson was a Heisman Trophy finalist, the 2015 ACC Offensive Player of the Year and Davey O’Brien award winner
Clemson returns to action this weekend against Pitt.
