Michigan Wolverines offensive lineman Grant Newsome is finally going to get home.
On Wednesday, Newsome shared a photo of himself leaving the hospital in a wheelchair accompanied by a friend. Newsome added the caption, “Blessed to say that after 38 days I’m finally leaving the hospital.”
Newsome had been in the hospital since undergoing season-ending knee surgery.
Huge thank you to my parents and @coco_cola44 for all of their help these past weeks! pic.twitter.com/RHIDysTtgB

The left tackle suffered the injury on Oct. 1 against Wisconsin. Because of Newsome’s injury, all Wolverines players have been required to wear knee braces moving forward.
It’s great to see Newsome finally heading home seemingly in good spirits.
Michigan, meanwhile, sits at 9-0 as the No. 2 team in the nation. The Wolverines return to action this weekend on the road against Iowa. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET at Kinnick Stadium with live coverage on ABC.
