Joel McHale to be College GameDay guest picker on Saturday

This weekend, ESPN’s College GameDay is heading to Seattle for the Pac-12 matchup between the No. 4 Washington Huskies and the USC Trojans.

While we usually have to wait until the morning of College GameDay to learn who the guest will be, host Rece Davis revealed on social media Friday that actor Joel McHale, a former Washington football player who walked on as a tight end for two years before graduating, will serve as the guest picker.

As you can tell from the photo above, McHale is a big fan of local sports.

McHale is best known for his work on VH1’s “The Soup” and for his portrayal of Jeff Winger on the NBC sitcom Community.

ESPN College GameDay kicks off bright and early at 9 a.m. ET tomorrow.

Kickoff between the Huskies and Trojans is set for 7:30 p.m. ET at Husky Stadium on FOX.
