Fred Ross has totaled more yards receiving than anyone else who has ever played Mississippi State Bulldogs. Ross surpassed previous record holder Chad Bumphis during the first half of their SEC matchup against Alabama.
The previous record was 2,270 set during Bumphis’ tenure from 2009-2012. Ross still has two more games this season and will have plenty of opportunities to add to his record.
It appears that the record will be the only thing Bulldog fans will have to cheer about this weekend. Through the first half of the game, the Alabama Crimson Tide are sticking it to the them and hold a 30 point lead. The Bulldogs were hoping that the Tide would suffer a hangover from their grueling victory over LSU last week, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.

Ross is having a good season and could be an appealing prospect for teams looking to add receiving depth in the draft. He is currently third in the SEC in receiving yards and first in touchdown receptions.
