Oregon football unveils latest uni combo for Stanford game

Oregon is going with the all-black for its game against the Stanford Cardinal today.

The Ducks were one of the first teams to get creative with their uniforms in the way that we see commonly across the FBS now. Thanks in large part to huge donations from booster and Nike CEO Phil Knight, Oregon sells flash to attract top recruits.

The Ducks regularly feature some of the more inventive and more outlandish unis of the week. From highlighter colors to throwbacks that were never actually worn, the raise the bar consistently.

However this week, the mostly-blacks offer a crowd pleasing and classic look.

The uniforms, accented with green lettering and yellow outlining, Oregon will look great this week. Or at least, what they’re wearing will look great. Oregon has struggled to succeed under coaches not named Chip Kelly, who has joined the NFL ranks. This Oregon-Stanford matchup doesn’t quite the cache that it would have had a few seasons ago when the teams were coached by Kelly-Harbaugh.

The uniforms look great no matter who is coaching, though.
