Video: Kansas pulls off ‘camouflage’ trick play on kickoff return

The Kansas Jayhawks dug deep into their bag of tricks on Saturday against Big 12 rival Iowa State.

Kansas was wearing all-blue and looking for a spark, so Jayhawks wide receiver LaQuvionte Gonzalez “hid” in the endzone before receiving a lateral for a crafty little play. Gonzalez was only able to make it to the 29-yard line, but you have to appreciate the effort.

This immediately makes me a Kansas fan. If they are willing to make this a staple of their offense, they’ve never lose a game in Boise again.

Credit the coaching staff for exhausting any and all options in an attempt to spark the offense. The Jayhawks (1-8) are trying desperately to get off the slide that has them losers of eight in a row. After starting off the season with an emphatic win against Rhode Island, they have looked lost on the field.

Their only near victory was a one-point loss against TCU. Kansas currently trails by four in the fourth quarter.
