The Iowa Hawkeyes like to play mind games with their opponents. As far as they are concerned, the battle takes place on the field and in the locker room, and for that reason, they had the visitors locker room painted pink.
The story goes that legendary Hawkeye coach Charlie Fry had the visitors locker room in Kinnick Stadium painted pink because he felt like it might give his team a physiological edge over their opponents. It might sound ridiculous, and perhaps a little sexist, but that didn’t stop the Michigan Wolverines from doing something about it:

Covering nearly every pink inch with Michigan signage, it doesn’t look like a visitors locker room for the Wolverines anymore. This seems like the kind of thing that coach Jim Harbaugh would not only endorse, but perhaps even have come up with himself.
Michigan is undefeated this season and a heavy favorite over Iowa this week. All the same, they aren’t taking any chances. They appear to have been unwilling to subject themselves to the color pink making them weak and unable to play football.
