Iowa State will wear patches on their uniforms and special warm-up shirts to honor the life of their recently deceased alumnus and basketball standout on Monday night.
Dejean-Jones was a member of the Cyclones team for the 2014-2015 season and was a key piece of their strong showing at the Big 12 tournament that season. Jones went undrafted in the NBA but signed on with the New Orleans Pelicans and saw playing time off of the bench last season.

Jones was killed after entering the wrong apartment looking for his ex-girlfriend. A struggle ensued and a he was killed by a gunshot wound. He allegedly broke the door down and was shot in the abdomen.
Jones was 23 years old at the time.
The Cyclones play the Mt. St. Mary’s Mountaineers. Through the first half, the Cyclones lead by nearly 20 points.
