Conor McGregor is taking over the sports world.
Since defeating Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 to become the first fighter in UFC history to simultaneously hold championship belts in two different weight classes, McGregor’s influence has been seen throughout all of sports.
The talk shows have spent countless hours discussing what’s next for the two-weight champ and have even focused on a hypothetical matchup with boxing star Floyd Mayweather, but McGregor’s reach expands well beyond mixed martial arts.
That was evident on Wednesday night when Memphis Grizzlies star Marc Gasol gave McGregor a little shoutout after draining a game-winning three-pointer.
After hitting the shot, Gasol strutted off with walk that has now become a McGregor trademark (even if he did steal it from Vince McMahon). Not only did Gasol do the strut, he paid homage to McGregor’s post-fight interview.
First, here’s McGregor:

And now, Marc Gasol:

Well done, Marc.
It’s incredible to see how much of an impact Conor McGregor has had on the sports world in such a short time. The scary thing: he’s just getting started.
