On Thursday night, Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly took a hit to the head. The impact led to Kuechly being carted off of the field while in tears.
It was a terrifying scene that led to immediate concern for the star defender.
Following the game, Panthers head coach Ron Rivera would not reveal any information other than the fact that Kuechly was set to go through concussion protocol. Then, on Friday morning, we finally received our first update on Kuechly’s health.
According to teammate Thomas Davis, Kuechly is “doing fine” and that appeared to be the case with the All-Pro flashing a smile for the camera.

That is a very positive sign.
After the frightening scene on Thursday night, it is nice to see Kuechly is in positive spirits. Hopefully that means the injury was not as serious as it initially appeared and Kuechly will be able to return to the field sooner rather than later.
