Florida State basketball adds 2017 four-star center

The Florida State basketball program is quietly putting together one of the better classes of 2017.

Already with four commits, they’ve now added a fifth. Ikechukwu Obiagu, a young man who will never have trouble making an email address and stands at 7 -feet tall, will be wearing a Florida State Seminoles jersey next season.

With great shot-blocking ability, a huge wingspan and a monster on the boards, the Seminoles have set themselves up nicely on the inside. While his defense is what has made him a top-50 player in the country, his offense leaves much to be desired.

Right now, Obiagu relies solely on the height advantage he has grown accustomed to at the high-school level. He will have to develop better footwork in the post if he hopes to parlay his physical gifts to an NBA lottery selection.

Obiagu announced his commitment to Florida State earlier today via his personal Twitter page.

Obiagu joins three-star recruits Myatt Wilkes and Raiquan Gray and guards Anthony Polite and Bryan Trimble, all of which signed with the Seminoles very early on in the process.
