West Virginia’s Ka’Raun White out for year with broken leg

West Virginia wide receiver Ka’Raun White is set to miss the remainder of the season after suffering a broken leg in last week’s game against Iowa State. White, who was injured in the first half of the team’s win over the Cyclones, but will miss the next six to eight weeks while he recovers.

“Ka’Raun is out,” head coach Dana Holgorsen told the media on Tuesday. “He broke a lower leg, I think it’s his tibia or fibula. You have surgery and you cast it and you’re out six-to-eight weeks, so he’s done for the year.

“He was having a good year, but the good news he’ll get healthy and come back and have a great spring, look to build on what his junior was. I thought it was a pretty good junior year.”

White has recorded 48 catches for 583 yards and five touchdowns this season.

The Mountaineers cap off their 2016 campaign on Saturday afternoon by hosting the Baylor Bears. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1.
