Three Rutgers QBs to transfer, including Chris Laviano

The Rutgers depth chart will be ultra thin at quarterback entering the offseason.

According to Ryan Dunleavy of NJ.com, three Rutgers quarterbacks have announced there intentions to transfer from the Scarlet Knights within the next three days.

Part-time starter Chris Laviano, along with backups Hayden Rettig and Mike Dare, will all be seeking new homes.

Laviano threw for 748 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions in 2016 before losing the starting job to Giovanni Rescigno midway through the year.

After the junior Rescigno took over, he threw for 889 yards, five scores and five interceptions.

There will be a lot of uncertainty surrounding the quarterback position next season.

This season, Rutgers stumbled to a 2-10 record without earning a win in Big Ten play. The Scarlet Knights will need to find a way to turn things around in 2017, regardless of who is under center.
