Video: First-person view of parachuters at the Army-Navy game

In this years annual Army-Navy game, the Black Knights were able to pull of an upset against the Navy Midshipmen. In a game where the winning team only completed two passes, most of the thrills came before kickoff.

What is the most exciting pre-game stunt that exists in the bag of tricks? A parachuter landing at the 50-yard line, of course. And what is the only way to top that? Two parachuters landing at the 50-yard line.

Prior to the game, both the Army and the Navy had one of their highly trained plane-jumpers whip the frenzy into an uproar.

This video will get you as close to jumping out of a plane as you can possibly get while still hunched over, dressed in street clothes. The footage, shot on a GoPro, is also scrollable and provides a 360-degree view on supported browsers. Wild stuff.

Army might have won the actual football game, snapping a 14-year losing streak to the Midshipmen, but they failed to land as close to the 50-yard line as their counterparts.

The also didn’t bring and red-streaky stuff. Navy had the pizzazz, even if it had fewer points at the end of four quarters.
