The Lane Kiffin era at FAU has started off with a big time, yet controversial signing.
On Wednesday morning, it was reported that Kiffin’s first FAU commit is former Florida State quarterback De’Andre Johnson, who signed his National Letter of Intent.
Johnson was at Florida State in 2015 before being dismissed after a video of the signal-caller punching a woman in the face during a fight at a bar surfaced. Johnson then spent last season at East Mississippi Community College of “Last Chance U” fame.

Johnson comes to FAU with three-years of eligibility left.
The Jacksonville, Florida native entered college as the No. 7 dual-threat quarterback in the nation, so Kiffin could certainly have a talented signal-caller leading his new team.
How are you feeling about the start of the era, Owls fans?
