Indiana’s OG Anunoby returns to lineup following ankle injury

The Indiana basketball team has been without sophomore forward OG Anunoby for the past three games, but he will be active for its tilt against the Butler Bulldogs, according to Andy Katz of ESPN.

Anunoby headed to the locker room early in a victory over North Carolina three games ago, and had been sidelined with a sprained ankle every since. The Hoosiers will certainly be happy to have him back, though they didn’t exactly struggle without him in the lineup.

Beating all three opponents they face in his absence by at least 23 points, it appears he will bolster an already clicking squad.

Competition will get stiffer, though.

Butler is currently No. 18 in the country. If Anunoby is able to return to the form he had prior to his injury, the Hoosiers will be ecstatic. Averaging 12.5 points, six rebounds, and 1.5 blocks this season, he has shown the ability to get it done in all phases of the game.

Coach Tom Crean is unsure if Anunoby will be able to slot into the starting lineup again, however. He is likelier looking at easing his way back onto the court before resuming his regular starting duties.
